Dear Alumni,

Homecoming is over, and things are settling down a little. We had a very exciting Spirit Week filled with contests and ball games; it was a week climaxed by our dance. A big thanks goes to all of you who sent us letters and updated us on what’s going on. We enjoyed reading success stories. A big thanks also goes to those who participated in our homecoming activities—we enjoyed visiting with "success stories"!

Conversations with some of the older exes (you are considered "older" when you voluntarily sit at the faculty table at the dance!) prompted this letter. Rick Guthrie (Class of ’76) suggested that we send out a questionnaire next year with the homecoming invitation to gather information. Putting our brains in high gear, we decided the letter needed to be sent this spring so that we could gather the information sooner.

There has been talk about class(es) reunions, and we would like to be of help. Therefore, we have enclosed a questionnaire and are requesting that you fill it out and return it soon. We will file this information away and make it available to you at any time.

Please remember that when you move, we would like to know. Each year approximately ten percent of our letters are returned because your forwarding address deadline has expired. (All of you that took General Business know that the Post Office forwards for only a limited time!) When this happens, we lose track. We also realize that there are exes nearby that we have lost touch with in this way. If you can help update and correct us, we would appreciate it.

The Student Council of Lackland High School strives to make homecoming an event especially for you—and you can help by returning the enclosure.

Cordially yours,
