MEMORY OF MR. HALL

Good Ole' Mr. Hall...let me think for a minute as it's been a few years (ok, more than a few!). I believe I had him for English and we often had to get up and speak before the class. I was notorious for saying "you know" in between every few words. Mr. Hall would be listening to the report and every time I said "you know"...he'd interject "no, I don't know." Well, if that's not enough to throw you off track and make you forget your report or speech, I don't know what would. I can still picture him up there teaching 7th grade English...I can't believe it's been about 30 years since then!!!!

WHAT I AM DOING NOW

Well a lot has happened since I graduated from Lackland in 1977.  I joined the Air Force in 1978 and after basic training and technical school training to be an air traffic controller, I went to my first assignment in Berlin, Germany.  I remained there for 2 1/2  years, then was reassigned to Holloman AFB, New Mexico where I met my husband of 20 years.  David and I stayed there for just about two years, before we took an extended long assignment in Aviano, Italy.  Well, we loved Italy and Europe so much we didn't want to leave and just kept extending.  Eight years later, we moved to Germany for our next assignment in the Bitburg area.  We also enjoyed Germany very much, but mostly because our two beautiful daughters, Michelle and Steffi, were born there.  We stayed in Germany for 3 years, then slowly worked our way back to the states.  Our next assignment was the Azores, Portugal.  We lived on a little 8 X15 mile island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.  We stayed there for 3 years as well.  Well our 14 year vacation had to eventually come to a close as we were stationed at McChord AFB, WA.  Believe it or not, one year after we moved to Washington, I had served 20 years and retired.  Dave retired the following year and we are still here.  Our daughters have grown (too quickly I might add) to be beautiful 9 and 11 year old young ladies.

We did get to see you, Mr. Hall, at the reunion.  It was so neat to see everyone again.  It was amazing to see how much everyone had changed, yet stayed the same.  I really enjoyed it.  Take Care Mr. Hall and God Speed.
