MEMORY OF MR. HALL

My name in school was Rebecca Cloud. I had Mr. Troy Hall for 7th grade English, and one year of Spanish. I graduated in 1988. When I think of Mr. Hall, I think of a man who never looked better in pink. We had a one on one conversation in the halls of Lackland High after school one day on how good he looked in pink. Not many men can pull it off like Mr. Hall. He was that kind of teacher. He could carry on a comfortable conversation with anyone, about anything. He was our friend and teacher.  Not many teachers have been able to do that in my life. He would never pass me in the hallway, without saying hello, and even shooting the breeze. He was one of the best storytellers and teachers. He has the best head of hair. A very handsome man, he was, and still is. He is a teacher I can never forget. I remember him fondly, and was sad to see him retire. Mr. Hall, I stay away from soda pop. I have an occasional root beer float, but abstain most of the time. Yes it is bad for your health, I finally agree. Thank you Mr. Hall for making learning fun, and taking the time to be a friend.

WHAT I AM DOING NOW

I have been married now for close to 13 years to a wonderful man, who also has a nice head of hair. I am the proud mother of a little boy, who is 9 months old. We have moved back home to Utah, after spending 10 glorious years in Alaska. I studied to be a teacher, myself, and have put that on hold to be a mom. I hope that I can be as personable a teacher as Mr. Hall, when and if I decide to continue to teach. I married a man who speaks Spanish fluently, after having served a mission in Spain for our church for two years. I digress, and leave room for someone else to pay tribute to a wonderful man. Get well soon, Mr. Hall, I send my regards.
