MEMORY OF MR. HALL
This is a special message for Mr. Hall, my former 10th grade Spanish teacher. I remember sitting in class and listening attentively to Mr. Hall’s lessons, he had a way of keeping the class "in tune" to what he was teaching. I would always walk out of his class with a smile on my face; he would always make us laugh by sharing jokes or giving us words of wisdom. I remember passing by his classroom and he would always stop us just to chat; and quiz us on our Spanish by starting up a conversation—of course, he would expect our responses to be delivered back to him in Spanish. Looking back, it was probably his way of getting us to practice our lessons, without us even realizing it. :0)
I ran into Mr. Hall about 7 years after I graduated, and was delighted to know that he remembered me. My family and I were at a restaurant, and Mr. Hall approached me and we quickly started a very nice conversation. We reminisced about my school days and we started talking about ex-students who I still keep in contact with; catching him up on their well being and whereabouts. Mr. Hall was the kind of teacher who really cared about his students; and we all knew that—that’s what makes him so special to us all. It made me feel special that he had remembered me after all those years! On another note, I was not able to attend the reunion, but would have loved to see Mr. Hall again, if he did attend. He truly has left an impression with me and I will always respect him for what he has taught me.
